Food Forest – Day of Service

Second Saturdays at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center’s Living Classroom from 9:00am-12:00pm. Our organic garden and citrus orchard sustained damage in the Canyon Fire 2 in October 2017. It will take a village to restore our grove and transform it into a thriving permaculture Food Forest that meets human needs while protecting ecosystem health and maximizing biodiversity.

Spend a few hours helping out at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center. We are in need of adults and youth ages 6 and up to help us restore the land.

Please wear long pants, boots or sturdy shoes with a hard sole, and bring a long sleeved shirt to protect from sun or for comfort while moving mulch. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle to refill from our ice water coolers! If you have your own gloves, please bring those – we will have a limited number of pairs to loan for the day.

Bring your family and friends to enjoy some time outdoors while giving back to the camp that gives so much to our youth.
