What to Leave at Home
Electronics of ANY kind, including cell phones, iPads, iPods, e-book readers, non-disposable cameras, handheld game devices, etc. We provide every camper the opportunity to completely immerse themselves in the natural surroundings offered here at the Outdoor Education Center. Electronic distractions serve to hinder that goal. Also, as these items are usually expensive to replace and don’t have a very high survival rate when they come in contact with water, dust, dirt, spilled liquids, etc.
Food of ANY kind, including candy, gum, chips, snacks, etc. These items are not allowed inside sleeping areas as they can can attract unwanted, wild critters into your home away from home.
Clothing or Shoes that cannot get dirty. Campers will get dirty!! Please do not come to camp with any clothing or footwear that must stay clean. Please also leave at home any teddy bears or other beloved items for your overnight adventure away from home.
